The My Place programWhat is the My Place Program? My Place is Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) new housing initiative that gives low to moderate income earners the chance to buy quality, smartly-designed homes in established communities across Queensland. My Place gives households with annual incomes under $105,000 the opportunity to own brand new homes at more affordable prices. Regular My Place releases will offer a limited number of house and land packages on a variety of lot sizes in Urban Development Areas across Queensland. All properties available for purchase will be part of established communities and will target prices between $250,000 to $360,000. What is the purpose of My Place? The purpose of My Place is to increase the likelihood that affordable house and land packages being offered within EDQ developments, and other Urban Development Areas, are purchased by those within the targeted household income brackets who intend to live locally. It is intended that this process will help to deliver housing products to key workers, like nurses, teachers, retail workers, who will become owner occupiers, before investors have the opportunity to buy. Who is the My Place Program for?The My Place program is for low to moderate income earners that have a household income (excluding minors) of less than $105,000 per annum including taxable government benefits (limit is subject to change in line with the EDQ housing strategy). What projects are participating in the My Place Program?Residential developments being undertaken in Urban Development Areas have been invited to participate in the My Place program.
